Early access
What a new Fah Swe RTC account can do straight away, what needs approval, how to apply for RTC access in the console, and what happens when access is granted or withdrawn.
Open to every account
- Signing in to the console and editing your profile.
- Creating an organization and inviting team members.
- Creating draft projects and configuring them.
- All documentation.
Needs RTC access
The following need a trusted account: one with a verified email address, or one whose early-access application a person on our team has approved.
- Creating a credential (App ID and App Secret) and rotating a secret.
- Issuing RTC tokens. The token API answers 403
access_pendingotherwise. - Connecting media. The media servers refuse sessions of projects without access.
- Creating a project in the production environment.
Email verification is not available at the moment, so approval is by application.
Apply
You can correct an application while it is waiting, and apply again if it was not approved. The reason for a decision is shown to you.
- Open Early access in the console.
- Describe your app in a few sentences: what it does, who uses it, and how live voice or video fits in. Platforms and expected usage help.
- Send the application. Its status changes to waiting for review.
- The decision appears on the same page. No email is sent.
For an organization
A project is trusted when the account that created it, or the owner of its organization, has RTC access. Team members of an approved owner do not apply separately.
If access is withdrawn
Access can be withdrawn, for example after abuse. Token requests are then refused at once and the media servers end the projects' sessions within seconds, including sessions started with tokens issued earlier. Your workspace and projects are kept.
